Meet the Founder and Chef Claudio

Claudio Macellari, owner and founder of Claudio’s Kitchen, is originally from Rome, Italy, where he was trained by some of Italy's best Italian pastry chefs (Leonardo DeCarlo, Nazzareno Lavini and Salvo Leanza of A Tavola Con Lo Chef, Francesco Di Maria and Franco Francia executive chef and executive pastry chef, respectively, at La Fiorentina Ristorante). He had a dream of coming to the U.S. and starting his own business creating delicious desserts. 

In 2020, his dream finally became a reality when he opened Claudio’s Kitchen in Brooklyn, New York.

Now, in his new home, Claudio brings a modern perspective to his heritage, proudly using high-quality Italian and local ingredients to produce beautifully crafted, delicious cookies.

Why Con Amore?

The simple answer is because everything made in our kitchen is done from the heart with care and with love (con amore). We want our customers to be able to taste the love in each cookie. When you enter the home of someone who is Italian or of Italian decent, usually the first thing that is offered to you is food.  When you leave, you are offered food to take home with you. 

Food that is proudly prepared in their kitchen with their secret ingredient - love. Food feeds your body, your heart, and your soul. Food equals love. All of our cookies are made con amore.
